Fereos + Associates Architects is an international studio practicing architecture in Cyprus and Greece. The studio has studied more than 300 projects, with a rich spectrum of projects ranging from small to large and urban scale, for more than 4 decades.
THE REQUEST
The client needed an easy-to-maintain website to showcase the studio’s projects and services provided. For each project they have different material so they wanted the ability to change the layouts and project presentation depending on each case.
After the page analysis, the idea for the design came from Loonatiks Design Studio who proposed a back & white website where the images get colored when the user puts his mouse over the image.
The architectural office has a reach history as it was founded on 1978. The logo was created by the founder of the office and they wanted to keep it in a discreet way as a tribute to him. The logo has a set of rectangles that follow a geometric progression. Following the logo’s vertical rhythm, Loonatiks got inspired and created the grid for the website.
OUR SOLUTION
We built a robust CMS based on WordPress, customized to meet the project’s needs.
Particular attention was paid to the way each of the project is presented in their portfolio. We created 3 different layout variations in the sizes of the photos, creating the impression on the user that each page is unique. This option can be managed by the administrator via the content management console (back-end).
